'Never Smile at a Crocodile' is fun piece of commissioned work that I completed at the beginning of last year. It's a book that illustrates the original song from the 1953 Peter Pan movie in a whimsical way and do it in my own style. Inventing all the different crocs and landscapes was utter freedom.
The entire series will be exhibiting for purchase later in July at the
TVH Gallery in Sydney. I'm looking forward to sharing dates and more deets later!

is an awesome project! like it a lot, love it!!!
aligator chracters so cute! do you go with underpainting before coloring?
Thanks so much everyone! I really had fun with this one Nice to have you drop by =)
Nicholas: Yup, I usually do some monochromatic underpainting before putting colour on top.. it helps making it a bit more vibrant rather than competing against a white canvas. I love 'Koki' by the way!
Shane =)

Hey Claire - Thanks so much for dropping past!
I have recently held the exhibition in Sydney and I'm in the process of sorting out my calendar. I certainly have plans to exhibit and this will be the first place I keep everyone updated.
BTW - I love tin cat! =)

These colours are lush. The red lanterns look beautiful in this composition.
