Weekend paintings

My goal this weekend was to get a few paintings done, but I managed to get a little sick and ran out of puff halfway through.. but I did  watch 2 complete seasons of MASH, and thought that was an achievement even if it wasn't painting. I was reading a new book about Robert Hannaford, a South Australian artist, and got all inspired by his work especially his portrait paintings..he's absolutely brilliant, so Thursday night I stayed up late and rushed another Cambodian monk. I didn't plan on finishing it, it was more about getting the practice...I'm more excited about his red cloth than anything else, it was good to keep it loose and quick. I thought I'd do another 'teeth' guy similar to the others because they are so much fun...this guy's a little lonely though, and he has a different cactus.!

Weekend painting

I had some spare time on the weekend to squeeze in an oil painting of these singing teeth guys.. They started with some silly sketches, and it seemed even funnier to imagine them singing in spanish, so they ended up in a desert in the final painting.

Robot dude

I had a lot of fun doing this the other night -  I drew this little guy while I was in Sydney on the weekend and for some reason he makes me laugh, so I had a few spare moments the other night and gave it a bit or color. I'll try and put a few pics from Semi-Permanent up a little later.. It was sweet.
